Join an events team as a Sous Chef! Prep, cook, and plate epic food for functions across Waikato, BOP & Auckland. Travel, lead, and create!

• Plan and execute high-quality menus for banquets and events
• Lead and supervise kitchen teams, ensuring smooth coordination
• Maintain top-tier food quality, flavour, and presentation
• Manage food prep and set-up for stations, buffets, and plated services
• Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
• Travel to event sites and assist with kitchen setups/pack-downs
• Confidently direct and motivate teams of up to 20+ during events

• 5+ years’ experience in banqueting/events (preferably with an event company or upscale hotel)
• Strong leadership skills – you're a confident delegator and team player
• Proven ability to read and execute BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) like a pro
• Full NZ driver’s license – travel is part of the gig
• Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude
• Flexible, reliable, and cool under pressure
• Happy to travel and stay overnight when needed (e.g., Rotorua-based events)
