One of Regional Victoria's most impressive Cafes is looking for a proven Sous Chef. Ideal for someone looking for a work-lifestyle balance $60-$65k

About the opportunity

We're working with one of Regional Victoria's best operators known for their incredible coffee, day time trade, and now their evening menu.

The operation is medium scale, open from breakfast to dinner service, with a variety of menus inspired by modern mediterranean to Australian classics. 
As a Sous Chef you'll be in charge of day to day service in the absence of the Head Chef, leading a team of 4 Chefs, and managing par levels and rosters shift by shift.

This hidden gem is 2.5 hours out of Melbourne so if you're looking for the balance between 'country living' and working for a respected food and beverage establishment then you'll want to know more.


What you'll get in return
  • $60,000-65,000 + super 
  • Full time permanent position. Rotating roster - must have availability from morning to evening, Monday to Sunday

Skills & experience
  • Previous Sous Chef experience is essential, preferably within a premium restaurant or established cafe
  • Certificate III Commercial Cookery or apprentice trained
  • Responds well to direct communication, highly organised, professional attitude day in, day out
  • Someone who strives for excellence regardless the level of cuisine
  • A real team player; you're not directing traffic in this role, you'll be across all sections and will have a knack for getting the best out of people
