Our Client: 
  
Is a Vineyard located in the stunning Marlborough region where exceptional wines are crafted and delicious food is created for all to enjoy during a daily lunch service and private functions. 
  
With the venue owned by one of the world's largest beverage companies, the venue is financially stable and is world renowned. 
  
The job of the Head Chef: 
  
The purpose of the role of Head Chef is to work collaboratively with the Venue Manager to ensure the Kitchen develops, creates and produces high quality, modern european cuisine to all customers, whether they be in attendance for a long lunch or a private function. You will also lead your BOH team of 5-6x to success. 
  
-Develop seasonal menus working with local suppliers and showcasing their produce through a modern european menu
-Work with Private Function clients on menu development that remain true to the venue character but meet their needs 
-Manage all financial budgets and costs for the kitchen and BOH function
-Lead, mentor, inspire and train your team to ensure high performance at all times 
-When required recruit for you team 
  
What we are looking for: 
  
-Experience working with modern european cuisine 
-Commitment to live in Blenheim or the Marlborough region 
-Proven Senior Sous Chef experience with at least 3-5x years experience and great tenure in current and previous roles 
-Positive, inspiring, nurturing leadership style 
-Valid NZ working rights

-$80-90k per annum base salary (dependent on experience) 
-Annual bonus based on performance 
-Work life balance, the the venue only open for lunch service you will have very reasonable working hours however do expect to work nights when private functions are booked
