5 Star Hotel - HR Manager - Encompasses entire lifecycle of employees including recruitment, onboarding, induction , compliance & training.

Our client specialises in hotel operations, management, training and
strategy, as well as food and beverage outlet management and operations.  Contributing 500+ hotel rooms to the accommodation market to date, over the next five years, our client will deliver an additional 500+ rooms to the mid-scale, up-scale and luxury market. With a growing portfolio of trusted hotel brands and food and beverage offerings, this is an opportunity to join a true force in the ACT hotel space.

The Venue;
This is a recently opened 5-star hotel. The Hotel boasts 199 hotel rooms, two food & beverage outlets and conference and events facilities. 5-star guest amenities include a pool, health spa, room service, business centre and more.


Responsibilities;
  • Interpretation and compliance with awards, employment legislation, immigration legislation, customer requirements, and any other HR relevant legislation.
  • Maintain, develop & implement employee records, training records, Job Descriptions, Organizational charts, and company HR policies.
  • Single site responsibility with 90-120 Employee Head Count 
  • Provide support to employees in HR-related areas, staff engagement, staff functions, manage dispute resolution and performance management of employees.
  • Manage IR interface for the business including FWC and other relevant tribunals as necessary.
  • Actively assist WHS function and coordinate return to work and worker's compensation claims in conjunction with Safety Manager.
  • Manage direct Casual labour pool, labor-hire providers, and long-term contractors.
  • Collate, analyze and report on agreed HR metrics and provide support to the payroll functions.

Experience working within the Hospitality or Retail industry is a MUST!!! You will need to be a creative thinker that has the ability to lead positive initiatives that encourage and support the development of staff internally.  

Requirements: 

Experience working within the Hospitality or Retail industry is a MUST!!! You will need to be a creative thinker that has the ability to lead positive initiatives that encourage and support the development of staff internally.
  • Solid understanding of industry awards, EBA, and laws.
  • Structured HR manager or Adviser experience.
  • High level of customer and client relationship management.
  • High level of attention and detailed experience contract writing.
