This splendid eatery is looking to hook a talented, passionate and creative Sous Chef with experience across a variety of cooking styles to join their fun and easy-going team.

About the role:

Enjoying an excellent repute as one of Auckland’s top seafood-focused restaurants with stunning views of the Gulf Harbour. You will be working closely with the Head Chef and you will be required to deputise in their absence.

You will be involved in the menu planning as well as be responsible for the staff training and development of this young, hip, fun and easy-going team. You will also need a cheerful attitude as you may be required to interact with guests on a regular basis.

  • The ability to cook delicious food is mandatory
  • Fresh produce and freshly caught seafood
  • Ability to create original and enticing dishes

Skills and experience: 

Everything is prepared to the highest standard of quality and presentation. Most likely you will have experience with high-end restaurants, as well as working with various styles of cuisines.

You will ideally have proven experience in leading teams and producing original and enticing dishes as well as:
  • Management experience
  • Ensure good standards are maintained
  • Passion for experimenting and creating new dishes
  • Menucoster and Deputy knowledge an advantage  
  • Maintain stock control and ensure ordering of all products is completed
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a restaurant or high-volume eatery
