Creative Sous Chef for this new exciting venue near Margaret River | Perth_Australia

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sous Chef who is passionate about produce and has the skills to manage a busy kitchen. $80-$85k + super + accom.

The Venue:
This new venue has a sparkling new kitchen with the best of kitchen equipment and requires a Sous Chef to be involved in developing a creative new menu with options to share in this casual style venue.
This establishment plans on celebrating the great produce available in their local region by providing delicious and wholesome food. 

The Opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to make their mark in this coveted position. With a great work/life balance in this role and being surrounded by everything this gorgeous region has to offer this could very well be the role for you!

The Requirements:
To be suitable for this role, you must be able to work to KPIs to:
  • Prepare, cook and serve food in accordance with menus ensuring a high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times according to agreed standards
  • Assist to create and develop menu concepts that aligns with the business principles and ideals
  • Lead and develop a team of passionate Chefs to produce consistent, excellent quality
  • Meet agreed food cost targets
  • Maintain Food Safety and OH&S procedures and practises
  • Foster sound relationships with front of house staff and kitchen staff
  • Provide direction and support to all kitchen staff
  • Plan and implement daily food preparation lists for effective production
  • Support a culture of information sharing and culinary leadership to your employees
  • Analyse all aspects of the operation to monitor and audit performance to ensure continuous improvements are achieved
Weekend work is a given in this tourist location however all shifts are predominantly days with the exception of some functions.
