About the opportunity

The venue is known for Weddings, Events and one of the Peninsula's most respected Restaurants.
Over the years the team have worked tirelessly to design and execute creative yet simple dishes, showcasing the best of the Peninsula's ingredients in a beautiful environment.

Traveller's of all sorts come and go, from corporate groups visiting for the week, to local residents popping in for a wine with friends, to the venue being flipped in to a stunning wedding venue.

As a Sous Chef you will know how to support an Executive Chef whilst guiding a small kitchen team across a 80 seater restaurant that is busy most days of the week. 

The candidate who will flourish in this position will have a knack for developing talent using various coaching methods, and will act as mentor to experience team members.

The candidate
  • Previous Sous Chef experience in a contemporary dining restaurant that understands the balance between quality and volume
  • Naturally a upbeat, go-getter personality and leadership style that will guide teams through the busiest of services
  • You prefer a type of service that is not uptight, instead very relaxed and inviting to talk with guests at the table - how do you build rapport? go the extra mile without being intrusive? what's your customer service point of difference?
  • Standout communication skills, confident reporting up and down, and bright personality
