Our client is a renowned venue located in the heart of Auckland, New Zealand with a rich history and commitment to excellence, The establishment has been a hub for social gatherings and exclusive events. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Banquet Sous Chef to join their culinary team and contribute to the success of their exceptional banquet operations.

Position Overview:
As a Banquet Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of banquets and special events. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to deliver world-class dining experiences for discerning members and guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute banquet menus, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Supervise and lead the banquet kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service during events.
  • Oversee food production, including but not limited to cooking, plating, and presentation.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
  • Assist in menu development.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Banquet Chef in a high-end dining establishment or catering company.
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating exceptional dishes.
  • Excellent leadership and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering top-quality food.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A passion for culinary innovation and creativity.
