About the role

We’re working with a renowned hospitality group seeking a Sommelier to join the team at one of Brisbane’s most acclaimed restaurants. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Head Sommelier to deliver memorable guest experiences, showcase a thoughtfully curated wine list, and contribute to the culture of a dynamic, award-winning venue.

It’s a chance to immerse yourself in a programme shaped around small producers, textural wines, and rare bottles collected over many years — all while honing your expertise and developing your career within an environment that values creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.

What you’ll be doing
  • Support the Head Sommelier in curating and maintaining the restaurant’s wine list and cellar
  • Engage guests with warm, knowledgeable, and approachable service
  • Collaborate with chefs and beverage leaders on thoughtful food and wine pairings
  • Assist in stock management, ordering and cellar organisation
  • Contribute to staff training and development, sharing knowledge with the wider team
  • Uphold high service standards and be a polished, confident floor presence
About you
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Sommelier or strong wine service background in premium/fine dining
  • WSET Level 2 or above highly regarded (support provided for further study)
  • Strong wine knowledge, especially European regions, and a passion for exploring small producers
  • A warm, gracious approach to service and ability to connect with guests
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while keeping standards high
  • Team-focused, collaborative, and eager to grow within a leading group
