We're on the hunt for a Head Chef to lead a small, capable kitchen team and drive the food offering forward. You'll work alongside an experienced management team who'll give you the autonomy and support to make it your own.
The venue has just been through a major renovation with a state-of-the-art stainless steel kitchen, extended dining deck, and a refreshed open-plan café space. It's the go-to spot in the area for locals and visitors alike, offering a relaxed atmosphere with strong daytime trade and plans to introduce evening service twice a week once renovations wrap up.

Autonomy to create menus, lead service, and manage a tight, skilled team (Sous Chef + café crew of 4-5).

About you You're a motivated chef who's ready to take the reins. You bring a balance of creativity, leadership, and practicality — someone who loves food, teamwork, and running a clean, efficient kitchen.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Head or Senior Sous Chef
- A calm, hands-on leadership style
- Experience across both café and function-style menus
- A strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
- The ability to lift a food operation and make it thrive
The details
Start date: Ideally early to mid-December
Pay: $35-$40 per hour depending on experience
Closed: Christmas Day only
Hours: Day service + potential for two evening services per week after March
