The Opportunity

Be part of something big in Melbourne’s hospitality scene! Our client is a well-known international restaurant group opening multiple venues across Victoria and nationally.

This will be a busy, high-performing restaurant from day one, so you’ll need to be ready to hit the ground running.

We’re looking for a Senior Assistant Restaurant Manager to help run a brand-new restaurant. You’ll work alongside the Restaurant General Manager to lead the team, make sure the restaurant runs smoothly, and deliver a great experience for every guest. This is a hands-on role where your leadership and energy will make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including FOH and BOH teams.
• Coach, develop, and mentor team members and shift leaders.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training to ensure operational readiness.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and food handling standards.
• Manage inventory, including stocktake, ordering, and minimising wastage.
• Help with rostering, shift planning, and succession pathways for your team.
• Contribute to driving sales, KPIs, and overall restaurant performance.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has minimum 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager.
• Ideally comes from fast-food or casual dining operations.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Is proactive, solutions-focused, and able to perform under pressure.
• Brings energy, confidence, and a positive presence to every shift.

Salary & Benefits

• $75,000-$85,000 + superannuation
