If you’re the kind of chef who thrives in a buzzing bistro , loves leading from the front, and gets a kick out of turning great produce into crowd-pleasing favourites, this gig has your name all over it.

We’re talking a busy East Brisbane venue with a loyal local following, cracking food, and a kitchen that actually enjoys working together. No egos. No chaos. Just a team that wants to deliver quality plates and a great experience, every single service.

What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting the Head Chef to run a fast paced, high energy kitchen
  • Putting your stamp on a menu full of elevated pub classics, weekly specials and seasonal updates
  • Leading, coaching and inspiring a young team who look to you for standards, guidance and a bit of fun
  • Keeping service sharp, organised and calm even when the place is pumping
  • Owning stock, ordering, food safety and day to day kitchen operations
What we’re looking for
  • A Sous Chef who loves the thrill of a busy service and takes pride in every plate that leaves the pass
  • Background in bistro, tavern or high volume venues
  • Strong leadership with a hands on mentality
  • Solid systems knowledge – ordering, stock control, compliance
  • A genuine team player who brings positivity, energy and passion to the kitchen
