This is an exciting opportunity for a Pastry Chef looking to work with a Front of House team under a globally recognised brand!

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Pastry Chef looking to work alongside a collaborative, award winning team in Newtown.

First opening a boutique patisserie in Newtown in 2008. The brand has since become a Sydney institution, famous for their signature cake which is now world famous!!
Under new ownership the company is set to open stores across Australia, Asia, North America and Europe.

This is a unique role where precision cutting of slab cakes and final dressing of cakes prior to service is required.

No baking is done onsite, your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Oversee and ensure all food preparation and presentation within your section is maintained to quality standards.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef and Senior Service Chef to maintain the organizational standards and operational efficiencies within your section.
  • Ensure the cleaning schedule is adhered to and cleaning tasks are executed as appropriate.
  • Ensure full understanding of all products offered and ensure that all stock is rotated and controlled.
Attention to detail, consistency and maintaining the highest standards of quality are essential in this role.

About You
As the Pastry Chef, you will be passionate about pastry and strive to consistently.
You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the kitchen and be confident to take charge. As a minimum, you should possess the following attributes: you will be looking for full time work, Unfortunately with recent situations we are not looking to sponsor anyone.
