The Opportunity 

This is an exciting opportunity for a Pastry Sous Chef looking to work alongside a collaborative, award-winning team in St Kilda. 

As the Sous Chef, you will organize, help plan, and control assigned production lines to ensure that all items are produced efficiently, on time, and to standard.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain effective cost control of the team to the agreed budgets (including management of waste).
  • Implement and maintain communication processes with logistics and packing teams. 
  • Control and Monitor all aspects of the production line to create the best quality product at all times
  • Focus on revenue creation and the delivery of margin through best practice menu design and management
  • Ensure adherence to all site standards, procedures and processes for the production of high-quality products whilst enforcing health and safety standards including machinery safety procedures 
  • Continue to build and maintain strong enduring and mutually beneficial relationships & partnerships with suppliers
  • Ensure the highest quality product and service is supplied each and every day
  • Inspire the team and ensure they work as a team consistent with the culture
  • Maintain the cleanliness of machinery and processing area.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Accreditation
Attention to detail, consistency, and maintaining the highest standards of quality are essential in this role.

About You
