About the opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager this role will focus on helping to grow the MICE segments of this 4.5 star Hotel.

This is a supporting role to an experienced DOS, and Sales Manager, taking the lead with the finer details the lead to a smooth and flawless event execution.
The role is suited to a hospitality professional looking to kick start their career in a slightly different direction, someone who has an appetite for event and career progression.

The selected candidate will have strong communication and time management sills, responsible for 15 event and conference spaces that require a team player who can wear many hats, allowing them to jump from department meetings to site inspections and walk throughs that could require you to sell the space.

You will help manage the inbound end to end process for all events, but you will have a focus on the wedding market requiring you to have an excellent level of knowledge with the hotels products, packages & capacities.

We want to connect with applicants that have positive energy levels, present as solutions focused, and have excellent communication skills that will win over relationships.

What we are looking for:  
  • Previous hospitality sales experience is essential - no matter the level we want to connect
  • A professional who has standout customer service and account management skills
  • Solutions focused leader on a technical and emotional level
  • Immaculate presentation that aligns with a 4.5 star hotel
  • Ability to liaise closely daily with the Sales Manager and where needed other department managers
  • A candidate with experience in Delphi Sales & Catering System & Opera PMS is an advantage
  • Upbeat personality, excellent people skills, and well mannered professional who understands how to connect with people on all levels - from entry level employees to dealing with CEO clients
