Our client 

Our client is situated in the heart of Nelson, boasting 113x rooms across 11x levels, conference facilities of 1000 sqm across 6x rooms with capacity to host 700x guests, a gym and outside pool on offer - this is a property that should make you excited. 

Your role 

The purpose of this role is to support the General Manager with the running of the hotel operation end to end. With 5x departments consisting of Front Office, Administration & Finance, Maintenance & Purchasing, Housekeeping and F&B we require an experienced Hotel Manager to take on this comprehensive role. 

Some key responsibilities include: 
  • Responsible for the day to day operations of the Reception & Front Office department 
  • Financial management including the ability to set rates, forecast sales and manage a P&L
  • Support with recruitment across all departments including induction & training when required 
  • Provide a memorable customer and guest experience 
About you 
  • Proven experience running a property management system 
  • Proven management experience within hotel operations 
  • High level of customer service
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proven ability working to KPIs, sales & P&L management 
  • You will be able to commit to a Tuesday - Saturday roster and be flexible to cover shifts when required
