The Opportunity
Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll take a hands-on role in leading shifts, supporting the team and creating an atmosphere guests want to return to.
You’ll be visible on the floor, ready to make decisions and comfortable moving between the details of service and the bigger operational picture.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading organised, energetic shifts across the floor and bar.
- Coaching the team through service and helping emerging leaders grow.
- Supporting rostering and matching staffing levels to trade.
- Monitoring wage costs, wastage and complimentary items.
- Resolving guest concerns with warmth and practical solutions.
- Keeping venue presentation and service standards consistent.
- Maintaining clear communication between the floor, bar, kitchen and management.
- Developing the team’s food and beverage knowledge.
- Upholding safe working practices throughout every shift.
You’re a confident hospitality leader who enjoys a busy floor and knows how to bring out the best in a team. Your experience could come from a bustling restaurant, quality pub, bar or another venue where pace, personality and service matter.
This could also suit a strong Supervisor or Duty Manager ready to step into an Assistant Venue Manager role.
You’ll bring:
- Experience supervising or managing a team in a busy hospitality environment.
- An approachable leadership style and a confident presence on the floor.
- The ability to prioritise, adapt and keep the team focused during busy periods.
- An understanding of labour costs and efficient daily operations.
- A genuine interest in food, drinks and memorable guest experiences.
- A current NSW RSA.
- Work by the water in a popular Northern Beaches destination.
- Learn from experienced leaders and build your management capability.
- Explore career progression within an established hospitality group.
- Enjoy a 25% precinct dining discount for you and three guests.
- Access wellbeing activities and confidential employee support.
- Receive an additional week of annual leave after five years of service.
