A large and well established gaming and hospitality venue on the Gold Coast is looking for a strong Assistant Venue Manager to support day to day operations across gaming, sports bar, functions and events.
With 69 gaming machines and multiple revenue streams across food, beverage and entertainment, this venue requires a hands on leader who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys being on the floor leading from the front.
Working closely with the Venue Manager, this role will play a key part in driving team performance, maintaining operational standards and ensuring the guest experience remains at the centre of everything the venue delivers.
About the Role
- Support the Venue Manager in the daily operation of a high volume gaming and hospitality venue
- Oversee gaming operations including compliance, payouts and machine performance across 69 machines
- Lead service across the sports bar, functions and event spaces
- Manage labour, rostering and team performance across multiple departments
- Drive strong customer engagement and maintain a vibrant, welcoming venue atmosphere
- Ensure compliance with all gaming, liquor and venue regulations
- Proven experience in a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager or similar leadership role within a gaming venue
- Strong understanding of gaming operations and compliance
- Confident leading teams across bar, gaming and functions
- Hands on leadership style with a focus on service and operational standards
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume venue environment
- RSG, RMLV and Approved Manager qualifications required
