Assistant Venue Manager

The Opportunity

Our client operates an established Bar & Grill in the heart of Melbourne’s dining scene and is seeking a ready-made leader to support the Venue General Manager.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who leads from the floor. You will coach and develop the team through service while remaining actively involved in daily operations - from greeting guests and managing shifts to delivering training and overseeing events.

The role is well suited to an experienced Assistant Manager who is passionate about high standards while maintaining a relaxed and welcoming environment.

You will lead a team of 12 across food and beverage within a 100-seat operation.



The Candidate
  • A minimum of 3 years Assistant Manager, Bar Manager, or Front of House Manager experience in full serviced venues is essential 
  • Skilled in reservations management, team training, and managing guest experiences 
  • A leader who is agile and possesses excellent stakeholder management skills
  • A leader who radiates positive energy and is the person who can lift others through both the good and the challenging times
