Cafe Manager | Dural

About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on leader who wants to grow with a fast-scaling food and beverage business. This is more than a standard store manager position — you will own the flagship location, build systems, develop teams, and play a key role in rolling out future sites. Your work will directly shape the culture, operations, and success of each new location as the business expands.

Role Purpose & Growth Trajectory
This role is designed for someone ambitious who wants to progress into multi-site management and operational leadership. You will:
  • Lead and manage the flagship store
  • Hire, train, and coach your team to deliver high standards across service, product, and operations
  • Build and refine operational systems (SOPs) that will be replicated across future locations
  • Contribute to new site rollouts, embedding culture and operational excellence from day one
Key Responsibilities
On the Floor
  • Operate specialty coffee equipment to an elite standard — extraction, milk technique, and presentation
  • Execute and protect production SOPs with zero compromise
  • Manage opening and closing procedures, daily operations, and front-of-house standards
Leadership & Team Development
  • Hire, train, and coach your team across service, product, and operational pillars
  • Develop your team to ensure consistent performance and a strong workplace culture
  • Hold the team accountable to systems and standards, not just atmosphere or "vibe"
Operations & Reporting
  • Manage inventory, supplier relationships, and store-level cost control
  • Contribute to the development of scalable operational frameworks for new sites
  • Monitor performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure reporting is accurate
Candidate Requirements
  • 1-2 years' hands-on experience in a senior barista, assistant manager, or similar hospitality leadership role
  • Proven specialty coffee expertise and understanding of food production standards
  • Comfortable working hands-on across service, production, and operations
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and team development skills
  • Systems-driven mindset with ability to document processes and implement improvements
  • Alignment with a mission of promoting healthy, sustainable habits
  • Reliable early-morning availability, Monday-Saturday
Salary & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $80,000 per annum + Super
  • Performance-based bonus tied to clearly defined sales and operational KPIs
  • Roster autonomy, including some Saturdays and occasional public holidays
  • Travel allowance considered for the right candidate
  • Clear career progression into multi-site and operational leadership
