We’re looking for a hands-on Café Manager to lead a busy Canberra site. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves being on the floor, knows how to get the best out of a team and can bring fresh energy to a venue with plenty of potential.
You’ll lead a team ~6, including an experienced Assistant Manager, across a fast-paced mix of coffee, fresh food and takeaway service. The team is capable and ready for a manager who will support them, set clear expectations and keep things running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading service and working alongside the team each day
- Coaching staff and building a positive, accountable culture
- Managing rosters, ordering, receipting and day-to-day processes
- Keeping standards high across service, food safety and WHS
- Finding practical ways to improve the customer experience and grow the venue
What we’re looking for:
You’ve managed a café or similar fast-paced venue and are confident with coffee, service and the operational side of the business. You’re warm, upbeat and approachable, but comfortable having the conversations needed to maintain standards. Most of all, you enjoy being present with your team rather than managing from behind a desk.
