Our client's venue has evolved from a successful all-day eatery into one of the areas most sought-after destinations for casual dining, catering and events.
With a growing calendar of catering and event bookings, the business is ready to appoint a dedicated Chef who will take ownership of the Catering & Events division, overseeing every stage from concept and planning through to execution.
Working closely with the General Manager and Events Manager, this role is ideally suited to an experienced Chef who can confidently transition from weekly and monthly planning to hands-on kitchen leadership, preparation, and service delivery during events.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and costing menus, overseeing food preparation, leading a small team during certain events, managing supplier relationships, and building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure every event is delivered to the highest standard.
The Candidate
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in banquets, catering or event-focused venues
- Strong understanding of food costing, stock control and kitchen operations
- Confident working independently while remaining collaborative during planning stages
- Flexible and adaptable within a dynamic events schedule
- Passionate about delivering memorable food across varied formats and service styles
