They are currently seeking a General Manager to take full operational ownership of a high-inventory serviced apartment property located in Southbank, Melbourne. Reporting directly to an experienced Group General Manager, this position is perfect for an Executive Assistant Manager who is eager to step up, or Hotel Operations Manager, or General Manager tp take complete ownership of a property, and receive direct 1-on-1 mentorship from a seasoned industry leader.
This is a hands-on leadership role—not a desk-bound administrative position. You will lead a dedicated property team, manage outsourced vendor contracts (including housekeeping), oversee financial targets, and ensure high occupancy and guest satisfaction across 160 serviced apartments.
The Candidate:
- Proven track record as an Executive Assistant Manager (EAM), or Hotel Operations Manager within serviced apartments or hotel groups.
- Strong operational background in property management, guest relations, team leadership, and managing outsourced service vendors.
- Solid commercial acumen with experience managing property budgets, occupancy rates, and financial targets.
- A hands-on, visible leader with strong resilience and the interpersonal skills to handle frontline urban property dynamics and earn team buy-in.
- Hungry to step into a full General Manager position and eager to learn under direct executive coaching.
