The Role
- Lead the kitchen team from the front during busy service periods
- Maintain quality and consistency across a high volume service environment
- Manage kitchen performance including food cost, labour and productivity
- Drive strong prep systems and service organisation
- Train, mentor and develop junior kitchen team members
- Create a positive and accountable kitchen culture
- Manage ordering, stock control and waste reduction
- Ensure kitchen systems and processes are consistently followed
- Support menu development while ensuring dishes remain operationally efficient
- An experienced Head Chef or senior kitchen leader from a high volume environment
- Experience in quick service, fast casual, high volume café or busy gastro pub style venues
- Strong commercial understanding including food cost and labour management
- Comfortable working with KPIs and performance targets
- A systems driven operator who understands kitchen structure and workflow
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A people focused leader who enjoys developing teams and building stability
- Strong food knowledge with the ability to balance creativity with operational efficiency
