We’re partnering with a well-established, high-volume venue in Melbourne’s western suburbs seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at this busy, community-driven local favourite.

You will take full ownership of kitchen operations, leading an established team while driving standards, consistency, and performance across all sections - including a high-volume pizza offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and retain a small to mid-sized kitchen team, fostering a positive and accountable culture
- Oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations across restaurant service, functions, and events
- Design and execute seasonal, approachable menus aligned with the venue’s customer base
- Maintain strong cost control across COGs, labour, and wastage
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with FOH and events teams to deliver seamless guest experiences
- 3+ years’ experience as a Head Chef in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Strong background in functions, events, or club-style venues highly regarded
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain kitchen teams
- Strong financial acumen across COGs, labour, and operational performance
- Experience delivering consistent, seasonal menus
- $90,000 + Super
- 2 days in a row off with a fixed Wednesday to Sunday Roster - Lunch service only on Sundays!
