The Role
This is a hands-on position for a capable chef de partie ready to take the next step. You will support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, confidently lead service in their absence, and contribute creatively to menu development while maintaining exceptional food standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily kitchen operations across dinner service
- Confidently lead the kitchen during Head Chef absence
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Lead by example during busy services
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance
- Assist with ordering, stock control, and supplier communication
- Control wastage and maintain food cost discipline
- Work closely with FOH to ensure seamless service flow
- Contribute to daily specials and seasonal menu development
- Stay current with food trends while respecting brand identity and clientele
- 4–5+ years’ experience as a Chef de Partie
- Ready to step into a Junior Sous Chef role
