You know how to read a restaurant’s performance—in the numbers, on the floor and through its people. You can identify what needs to change and help managers make it happen.
This role gives you responsibility for a group of restaurants within an established restaurant business. Your focus will be on developing capable leaders, improving sales and profitability, and delivering consistently strong customer experiences.
Our client is seeking an experienced QSR or multi-site hospitality leader who combines commercial judgement with practical, supportive coaching.
Where you’ll make your mark
Working through your Restaurant Managers, you’ll set clear expectations, understand each restaurant’s challenges and follow agreed actions through to completion.
You’ll be regularly out in the restaurants, observing service, coaching managers and checking that improvements are working. You’ll also own monthly projections, using sales, customer numbers, margin and labour performance to focus effort where it matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Improving sales and profit through clear restaurant performance plans.
- Coaching managers to lead their teams confidently and take ownership of results.
- Strengthening staffing, retention and succession across the portfolio.
- Maintaining food quality, service, cleanliness, food safety and workplace safety standards.
- Delivering promotions, new products and operational initiatives consistently.
You bring sustained leadership experience in a comparable, high-volume QSR business, or a proven record managing multiple hospitality sites.
You can point to managers you’ve developed and commercial results you’ve improved. You understand how labour deployment, food costs and service execution affect profitability—and how to improve one without undermining another.
You build trust, give direct and constructive feedback, and hold people accountable. You’re comfortable working within established operating systems and know that consistency depends on clear expectations and reliable follow-through.
The opportunity and package
You’ll have a defined restaurant portfolio, direct influence on business performance and the opportunity to develop your leadership capability alongside experienced operational leaders.
The package includes:
- $90,000–$100,000 base salary
- Company vehicle and phone
- Bonus
- Health insurance and superannuation benefits
You’ll need a full New Zealand driver licence and flexibility to visit restaurants when it counts, including peak trading periods, weekends and overnight visits.
