As the venue continues to evolve its food offering, we're looking for an experienced Sous Chef to work alongside an accomplished Head Chef in a role that offers creativity, ownership and the opportunity to make a genuine impact across both premium events and the venue's growing offerings.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position suited to an experienced Sous Chef ready to make an impact.
Working across premium weddings, large-scale functions and the venue's cellar door and wine bar, you'll play an integral role in delivering exceptional food while helping shape seasonal menus and creative specials.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Leading the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
- Assisting with ordering, stock control and kitchen operations
- Contributing to seasonal menu development, monthly menu changes and creative specials
- Helping grow an exciting cellar door and wine bar food offering
- Leading service across weddings, events and premium functions
- Mentoring junior chefs while encouraging accountability, initiative and confidence
- Maintaining exceptional food quality, consistency and kitchen standards
We're looking for a chef who leads with calm confidence rather than ego.
You'll bring:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef within quality hospitality venues
- Experience across high-volume functions, events or premium dining
- A genuine passion for seasonal produce and creative menu development
- Confidence to contribute ideas, take ownership and work autonomously
- A calm, organised leadership style under pressure
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive team culture
- Experience managing ordering, prep and service operations
