Sous Chef required for a highly regarded, large-format waterfront venue, recognised for delivering a polished, high-volume dining experience within a refined yet relaxed setting. With a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor spaces, the operation caters to a diverse clientele across all-day dining, elevated casual service, and large-scale events.
This is an opportunity for an accomplished Sous Chef to step into a senior leadership role within a culture focused kitchen environment. Working alongside an experienced Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, leading a structured brigade, and ensuring consistency across multiple service streams.
The venue operates at significant volume, regularly exceeding 1000 covers during peak periods, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, presentation, and guest experience. Success in this role will require a composed and detail-oriented leader who can confidently manage service, support and develop their team, and uphold high operational standards.

The Candidate
- 2–3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef within high-volume, quality-driven environments
- Background in premium pub, bistro, or large-scale hospitality venues
- Strong commercial acumen, with a clear understanding of COGS, labour management, and financial performance
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams within structured kitchen environments. Demonstrating excellent communication skills with a collaborative and professional leadership style
- Confident running service with a calm, measured, and solutions-focused approach
- Experience across functions and/or breakfast service will be highly regarded
