Venue Manager

The Opportunity 

Our client’s venue is the kind of place you go to unwind—whether it’s relaxing in the beer garden with friends, enjoying a classic pub lunch or dinner, or catching a sporting event at a true local favourite.

We are partnering with an ownership seeking a ready-made hospitality leader to take the reins of a medium-sized venue. This role has a strong focus on food, beverage, and functions operations - note, this is not a gaming/pokies venue.

This is a hands-on, front-and-centre Venue Manager position. The successful candidate will need to seamlessly pivot between pouring pints and engaging with locals, through to managing P&L performance and key stakeholder relationships.

Reporting directly to the Business Owner, you will be provided with the tools, support, and autonomy required to effectively lead and manage this business unit.



The Candidate
  • A minimum of 2 years Assistant Venue Manager and above is essential, preferably within pubs
  • Strong interpersonal skills - whether it's chatting with locals or managing teams we're in need of a leader who excels in this area
  • A leader who is all things customer service -  we want to connect with someone who can tell a story through their service, and not afraid to push boundaries to deliver the best level possible
  • A leader experienced in managing teams of 20+ is an advantage, but not essential
