Venue Manager

The Opportunity

Our client's venue is the kind of place people visit to unwind with friends after work, enjoy a classic pub lunch or dinner, or settle in to watch live sport at their favourite local.

We're looking for an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in a community-focused venue, with a genuine passion for delivering food and beverage experiences, growing functions, and building strong local relationships.

This is a hands-on, front-of-house Venue Manager role, where you'll be just as comfortable pouring a pint and engaging with regulars as you are leading the team, managing financial performance, overseeing rostering, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Trading consistently throughout the year, the venue is supported by a loyal local customer base and enjoys increased trade on weekends, public holidays, and throughout the summer months.

It's an opportunity to lead a well-established venue that plays an important role within the Geelong community.

The Candidate
  • A minimum of 2 year’s venue management experience is essential - ideally within pubs or multi-faceted food and beverage venues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are a must - whether it’s engaging with locals or leading a team, we’re looking for a natural communicator and motivator.
  • A customer service-driven leader who can create memorable experiences and isn’t afraid to push boundaries to deliver excellence.
  • Experience managing teams of 20+ will be highly regarded, but not essential for the right candidate.

Benefits

  • $95,000-100,000 + super + incentives
  • Mid to long-term growth opportunities within a growing group
  • A respected Geelong venue with steady year-round trade and strong community support.
  • Join a forward-thinking senior team that challenges the “same old” approach and strives to innovate.
