The Role:
Looking for an up and coming professional wanting to make a name for themselves, this role provides the scope for exercising your considerable knowledge and passion for food on a daily basis. A dedicated team awaits their new Executive Sous Chef to inspire and create. This venue is well known for events and functions as well as delicious a la carte options all in a gorgeous setting. The ideal candidate will be a leader who is passionate about their team, achieving results and exceeding customer expectations. 

We require:

• Experienced professional with a positive hands on approach in a high turnover establishment
• Strong motivational skills to inspire the team to deliver results
• Experience in function and event operations including weddings and corporate events
• Experience in menu development, costings and gross profit management
• Full accountability of profitability and performance within food department
• Delivery of  KPI’s including sales, labour cost and expense control
• Excellent supplier relationships and negotiating skills
• WH&S standards

What you will Bring to the role:   

• 2-3 yrs experience as a Sous Chef in similar fast paced environment 
• Strong business acumen, KPI driven and results focused 
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and reporting skills
• Creative inspiring menu ideas
• Passion for all things food, what’s on trend, inspired creations, fresh produce
• Experience in catering role preferred but not essential
